I was thinking of switching to CREDO mobile. They donate 1 percent of profits to progressive causes. Anyone tried it?
edited because I didn’t read carefully…
I use them for land-line long-distance but make so few long-distance calls that I don’t have much to report. It seems to work fine.
As for mobile:
I had considered taking their offer to buy out my cell phone contract, but they’re essentially on the Sprint network, and Verizon seems to work best most of the places I find myself. (Verizon, of course, is diametrically opposed to where Credo stands politically–something Credo will be happy to point out–but sometimes it’s a practical decision which phone company you choose and politics come in second.)
Also, they offer a very limited choice of phone models and I really prefer to keep using a Palm Centro.
Hence, the answer is no.
