I just got myself a cheeky wee Jeffries Concertina in Bb/F & I’m now wondering if there are any Flat Set Pipers, with Pipes pitched in C, up around Co. Antrim or Co. Derry, who might fancy meeting up to play a few tunes in C, sometime?
I wonder is there perhaps even a regular C Session taking place in this area?

Its a well known fact that out of all the different pipes that are played, the people who play C pipes are the surliest and they would probably look down their nose’s at lowly concertina players.

There is a pipers club which has recently started in Derry. I don’t know any contact details , I think Martin Preshaw knows a little bit more , www.martinpreshaw.com I’m sure someone has a flat set and wouldn’t mind you joining along. I have a C set but I’ve only been playing about 3 1/2 years …and I live in Wales. As i’m a beginner I havent achieved the surly status just yet but I’m working on it.
Well, thank goodness all Pipers don’t look down their noses at Concertina players!
