I have a 5 keyed blackwood Ormiston D flute with wooden case that is no longer getting full playing time due to a new flute. Photos available by request.
I am interested in trading the Ormiston for an Irish-tuned 2 row button accordion – preferably B/C but will also consider C#/D.

That would cost about 1000 dollars ..do you think a use flute is worth that much?

It’s actually worth more…a 4-keyed Ormiston recently sold on C&F for $1570. Note that each additional key adds about $200, so that increases the value of a 5-keyed model a bit.
In fact, a five year old 6-keyed Hamilton went for $1900 on C&F in Oct. 2003. Needless to say, one would be very hard pressed to find a keyed flute that was priced at or below $1000.

I believe I’d run the risk of being called a “glorified melodeon player” if
I failed to make proper use of the basses! 
However, being a flute player primarily, I have indeed heard of him. That should make him happy.
