Just taken delivery of a D Allen Eight Keyed Flute -basically a copy of a prattens I have to say that it’s a corker! Lots of meaty tone and not as much air as i thought it would take.
I have never got to play one of his flutes, but really like his work (by the way they look), especially the keywork, the G# key…
really nice!
I think his designs are very handsome. I am saving up for one. Post a pic of yours to inspire my frugality in the meanwhile! ![]()

I can only highly recommend Dominic as a flutemaker who is doing outstanding craftwork
