Here’s a topic we’ve never discussed before. Has anyone here ever used a pair of these?
I’ve only known one person who ever had a pair. There are a couple of other pages on the web about them, including http://www.hypnoskates.com/ but very few retailers anywhere.
A young man in our condo has a pair of them, they’re really neat! Haven’t seen him skate in them though.

Pretty cool! Although the design of the shoe part might cause some eyebrows to be raised in the office.
Heh, yeah. I understand some of the older models looked more like hiking boots and less like spare props from Babylon Five.
Another problem is they don’t seem to have many store retailers, so it’s impossible to get a fit. Still, I’m going to try to find a couple of places when I go to New England next month. There’s one in Providence apparently.
Where are these made?
Italy. It’s very difficult to get them anywhere but online, though there are a scattering of US skate shops that carry them now. Found one in the UK but it’s not in London.
