I’m having drastic surgery on my right shoulder and will be unable to play flute or recorder and will be unable to play in the Brass and Woodwind band I now play in. I will have a fixed body sling but will have the use of my fingers and as most the band music is in at least three flats I should be able to wriggle my finger enough to play one after about 3 months. As some of you know I play with adaptaions due to disabilities and to lose the ability to play anything will be unbelieveably depressing. I borrowed a Susato to try but it was too quiet and was actually uncomfortable for me to keep my fingers on. It must be one of the cheaper models as well. I’ve been unable to type much so not posted for a while but hope to get a dictation package to help me. Would be the arm i use most as well.
