Just wondering if someone despised their generation d enough to give me a have at it, I want to see if I like the “d”, in theory all I need is the body, so if someone has an extra generation d body hanging around, I’d really appreciate it.
Hi Michael,
you know Generations are so cheap, the postage is probably more than the cost of the whistle!
I’d send you one, because I am not a stingy European like some board members I could mention, but I just sent all my spares out in exchange for Oaks.
If my Oak experience is any indication, you’ll have not trouble getting an old Gen or two.
Oddly enough, I have never bought or owned a Generation D otherwise would be happy to share!!! I have six Feadog Ds, an LBW, a Sweet Maple and my Burkes but no gens…
I mentioned this in the LBW thread, but I’ll repeat it here.
If any of you would be willing to pass along some of your no longer played whistles, any brand/key/condition, I will put them to good use. I’m working on various tweaking/frankenwhistle research experiments, and have been able to produce several excellent whistles from recycled cast-offs. Your donation will advance whistle tweaking science, so it’s for a good cause.
If you’re willing to help, send me an email and I’ll give you my address.
Thanks!
Jerry
P.S. Of course, since this thread was started by Michael Coleman, let’s make sure he gets a hand-me-down Gen D before sending any to me. Several of you have been kind in sending hand-me-down whistles, and I am very appreciative. They’re being put to good use.
