Anybody compare Erik the Flutemaker's D to Susato?

I’ve had a lot of fun with the D whistle Erik the flutemaker makes with the Susato fipple. Has anyone compared it to a regular Susato D? Louder? Quieter? Second octave differance?

I found them to be pretty similar but I think the bamboo mellowed out the sound a bit. I prefer Erik’s (it smells nice).

Thanks, Bretton.I appreciate the input.The burned bamboo smell was disconcerting to me at first but now I find it pleasant too.
