Hi there guys, I’ve found some unexpected off-duty days at the second part of the month.
It’s a bit late, but maybe I could take the most of them learning.
Thanks

The patrick byrne harp weekend is on 30th march, carrickmacross,co.monaghan, wth workshops n most instruments.
the carlow county fleadh is on the same weekend.
Incidently, im heading to Madrid for paddys weekend, any suggestons on what to get up to? ![]()
Thanks Flanum. I’ll check that, Carlow sounds easier to get to than Monaghan. I found Lewes Arm Folk Club workshop (Sussex, England) by Claire Mann on 24th march, very easy to get (and cheap) from Spain, but it only lasts one day…

In Madrid you could drop by “La Taberna de la Elisa”, open session from 22:30 on mondays. Nice and friendly musicians (say hello to Fernando (fiddle) and Pachu (zouk and flute) from Rafa from Cordoba if you make it.) Address: 42nd Santa Maria Street, 10 minutes walk from Atocha Train Station
There’s lots of Irish pubs in Madrid; all of them will arrange some music for S. Patrick’s day, But I wouldn’t expect anything more than a local band, hats, drink promotions and gifts.
