any history or information on C.Mathieu or Atlas flageolets?

Over the past 20 years, I have found 8 or nine of these instruments - they are cast pewter, made in France ca. 1890s, and either have a wooden-flageolet style blowpipe mouthpiece which directs the air to a fipple window or a mouthpiece which looks more like a standard Copeland beak. Most of them have 6 holes, are in the key of D, and are pretty hefty weight-wise…any information or information would be welcome…any more of these out there? (I also have a pewter ocarina by the same maker!)
