Personally, I’m a huge fan of the MYST series computer games and novels. The other day, while I was checking out the trailer for the upcoming “Myst IV Revelation”, I became rather nostalgic and decided to check out the trailers for some of the older MYST games as well. While watching the trailer for “Myst III Exile” I remembered that it had pipes in it. I hadn’t yet started playing uilleann pipes when the trailer was released, and so it didn’t mean so much to me at the time. I began wondering who the piper was that they used… I asked around a little, but no one seemed to have an answer. Does anyone know?? I know the company that produced it (Cyan) is out of Spokane, WA., but I don’t know if that would have any bearing on where the piper was from…

I’ve never played it myself. I’m a bit of a luddite when it comes to computer games. Give me “Missile Command” or give me…uh, something else.
Could the piper in question be Ronan Browne by any chance? I read somewhere that he did some piping for some of the “Final Fantasy” games.
(Getting my regulators delivered and being able to play them expertly on the first try…now there’s my final fantasy…)
sounds to me like eric rigler on his froment chanter. could be wrong, but he has a distinctive sound to his playing…
