I live in Huntsville. There are three others in Huntsville at last count as well as two listed as Alabama and one as N.E. Alabama and one in Auburn. Click on the memberlist at the top of the page for a complete listing and of course Dale lives in birmingham. Where in Alabama do you live?

I am one of the other three mentioned that live in Huntsville…
I live in Boaz, about an hour south of Huntsville and an hour northeast of Birmingham.
If only I’d known about all these Huntsville whistlers last July! Oh… wait… I didn’t play the whistle last July… never mind… 
(I was in Huntsville for a week on business trip, but with free evenings… I never did see any kudzu, at least not to know it… ah well.)

I live in the S.E. region of the state. About 90 minutes to the beach.

I live just south of the Alabama/Florida line, in Chipley. Used to live in Troy and Dothan. When we moved to Washington State, and I called to signup for telephone service, the lady wanted to know where I was from, I told he LA. She insisted I didn’t sound like I was from LA. I told I was really from LA, Lower Alabama. She had a good laugh and we talked for about 10 minutes. Now I live close to the redneck rivera, PC, just north of “Nub City”.

Around here we have always considered Gulf Shores Alabama to be the redneck rivera. Same gulf, just 70 miles west of Panama City.

I’m in Huntsville also. Been meaning to get out to the reportedly “whistle-rich” local session. I don’t know if its safe for me since I encouraged a co-worker with a bodhran to start attending
