Toy Flute, 1920s (?)
This flute is French, marked “Hercule Paris” and was made of Celluloid in the first decades of the 20th century. It is 28 cm long.
I used to have one almost identical but without the incised decoration, branded “Atlas, Paris”. One of the black rings had fallen off, but it had the same odd raised fingerholes. The best D whistle I’ve ever played. I had it stolen when I was robbed in Dublin. I’ve seen the “Hercule” branded ones for sale on EBay.
