Hi friends, this morning i got into some trouble on my pc. I already have two antivirus softwares downloaded, antivir and avg antivirus. I thought about trying another, just for the heck of it, and downloaded the trial version of kapersky antivirus personal pro 5.0
well, after doing that my pc freezes about 30secs after start-up, i can’t even uninstall the damn thing anymore, the only option then left i have is to manually switch off the computer…
can anyone help…?

Do you have a system CD that you could start up from?
I don’t know how that might be done on a PC, but on the Mac you hold down the C key while starting.
Try hitting F5 a few times as you’re booting, which usually forces “safe mode”. In safe mode, nothing gets loaded, including anti-virus software, so you should be able to uninstall it, and reboot.

Try starting in Safe Mode, by tapping the F8 key at first part of restart/startup, and when the menu comes up, select Safe Mode, and hit Enter key…give it plenty of time to get to the desktop. F8 gives you a list of choices…such as “start in dos mode” “start in dos mode with CD support” “start in safe mode”..each of these choices makes sense under certain conditions. But the one you want is safe mode. You can certainly follow this set of instructions without any problems.
F5 just goes straight to safe mode, skipping the selection screen, and saves you from having to make a potentially confusing choice 
In safe mode, your desktop will probably look big because it won’t load your custom video drivers, and windows may rearrange your desktop icons because of it…this is to be expected, and things will look normal again when you return.

halleluya (pun intended). I managed, went into saft mode, uninstalled all my virussearch software, then wanted to uninstall the kapersky, which did not work, because it apparantly can not be uninstalled in safe mode, so i started up normally and then it could be uninstalled with no problem whatsoever.
