anti clog tip (correct me if I am wrong)

since I only have been playing a few months, I had clogging problems on my whistles (clarke sweetone for kids and gen Bb).
somewhere I read you could cover the windway and breathe a few times into the mouthpiece to warm it up.
at first I wondered what sense this would make with a plastic mouthpiece but it DOES work.
since then I do this every time before I start playing and clogging problems almost gone
play with much more pleasure now.

You are absolutely correct. Once warm, there is much less condensation that forms on the surfaces of the plastic (or any other material).

To confirm this, and it would be a cool thing to do with your kids, put two glasses on the table, one cold and one room temp. Notice which one beads up with moisture? If it is too dry in your house, or to make the point perfectly clear, breath a little on each one.

The cold one should fog up quite readily.
