Another wooden whistle "care and feeding" question

We’re getting ready to leave on vacation (leaving Sunday, and will be gone for 3 weeks). I won’t be taking my Busman with me, because the whistles I take will occasionally have to be left in the car, and a hot car and a wooden whistle are not a good combination (at least not for the whistle!). If you don’t play a wooden whistle for several weeks, do you need to “break it in” again?

I’m still trying to decide which whistles will be going along. The Elfsong D will be traveling with us for sure, but for the others, I haven’t decided yet.

Thanks for being considerate of your wooden whistle!!

Several weeks should not be a huge problem. Give the whistle a good oiling before you go away and it probably won’t dry out very much over your vacation.
