Another pictures of fluuuuuuuuute

Since I cannot find the topic where we uploaded many flute pictures, I put mine here. (Made by Stéphane Morvan in Brittany) 6keys and I love it but I have not yet reached its maximum capacity… :sniffle:

I put a phrase on the picture to avoid the people who may abuse pictures.

:stuck_out_tongue:

That is some of the neatest tile grouting I have ever seen!

:astonished: Yes! And how did he get the flute to stick to the shower wall like that?

The french grouting is the best in the world.

Nice looking flute anyway.

Yes it’s good, I’m not all together sure about the colour, I think a wee bit lighter would have been better.

I have never been to USA… Half of my flat is tiled on the floor! (not the wall except the bath room) It is very usual in France!!

So I put my flute on the floor and I took the picture. I have low quality degital camera so even with the flash light, that was all the best I could.
(And it is cloudy today here in France) Sorry.

That was for someone who was interested at Morvan’s flute.

Actually, I am. I did not find him on Google, except as a flute player. I didn’t know he made flutes. How can I reach him ?

Je vais prendre la comission de 10% sur chaque achat… It is a JOKE!!

I will send you pm.

Never heard of the guy. The flute sure looks beautiful and high quality.
Would be interesting to hear how the flute compairs to our more famous makers. And how expensive are they? How much does he charge for a 6-key, how long is the wait?

Ah… He is an excellent breton flute and bombard player!!
Unfortunately I do not have enough courage to put my sound file.
(I can put sound file of him playing his own flute if he allow me)

Of course he is also an excellent maker. In fact, he had maked many flute heads for the people who wanted dif (If I understood well his French)

I bought the flute at earlier stage and I heard the price became much expensive because there are so much demand. I was lucky.
(last year, it was around 2300 Euros for 6keys)

The grout wasn’t quite dry.

I have fond memories of the cold, tile floor in my French host families house.

Votre flûte est extra-ordinaire! “Extra-ordinaire” is one of my favorite words in French because of the sound of the hyphenated dipthong.

I’d be interested to hear some of the maker’s playing. There are some awesome players in Brittany… WFO4?

Yec’hed mat!

Hi

Stephane Morvan is making great flutes.
He is making flutes for about 15 years now but he has just set up his professional workshop (in team with Youenn Le Bihan who makes bombardes and binious)

I have a new flute from him, 8 keyed in ebony, and I wouldn’t dare to say it’s the best flute I ever played. I used to play on an Aebi and I have my new Grinter in cocus but for me the Morvan is far better.
I would compare him to Chris Wilkes, same quality and design.
it took months of discussion to Stephane and me to make a flute which suits my playing perfectly.
I advise to anyone to order from him, and if some people are interested I can post a small review with sound and pictures.

cheers,

Sylvain

Please do, I dare say that pretty much everyone here would be interested in that.
