I got my D/C set in the mail today..This is an wonderful set of whistles..I have read the glowing reviews of others and don’t know what more to add so I’ll just add my name to the list of satisfied players.
One thing that is worth mentioning I think is that this whistle, while having all the great qualities of a high ender,does not seem to have any quirky air requirements or different fingering needs, etc..in short just a great,dependable whistle.
I very much like the sound of the D I have. I would point out, from my own experience, that the air requirements are a bit higher than the average whistle. I find myself being more vigilant about the remaining air in my lungs when planning out where to take the next breath. It’s nothing like playing a wooden flute (sheesh), but I’d suggest getting the option for the least breath requirement model, which is less breathy souding (but still a lot breathier than most everything else out there). (I did a slow air, Scots Air, on the Clips site with that whistle. You can definitely hear the breathiness.)
