Any idea’s where would one get the supplies used to make Rogge’s flute/pin type key mounts.. I’ve done lots of Internet searching and have come up with little… Thanks

I just went to the local woodwind shop, and asked polite, explaining exactly what I needed. They were so taken with the pipes that I spent more than two hours talking about instruments. And finally I was shown a shelf full of second hand clarinets and oboes (well, they didn’t work), I could just take anything I wanted…

Any woodwind repair shop should be able to help. They’ve got these really good key springs in steel

My understanding of post and pin set-ups on woodwinds is that they are made by the maker, not some off-the-shelf factory-made one-size-fits-all commodity. If you can find something second-hand off another instrument you’re doing well. You may be able to source someone locally who will make them for you at a cost.

I found a place that sells all the parts needed to make your own pin mounts for flutes etc… Thanks guys

For clarinets and flute I think these parts are relatively standard. Looks to me like that’s what Rogge’s using (standard flute or clarinet pins and posts) for his post-mounted keys. Googling for musical instrument repair materials should turn up something in the us (I deal with Windcraft, www.windcraft.co.uk here).
