Hi folks,
Any uillean pipers interested in playing with a Celtic Fiddle group? We are about 30 (when everyone shows up) but most times about a dozen or so. Fiddles, guitars, flute, accordian, a few keyboard players amongst us so far. Starting up again on Sat Sept 8 in Oakville Ontario. Two bucks contribution to the kitty whenever you come. Send a note for details if you are interested. Loads of fun.

DJM…Not sure if it’s illegal to have 30 fiddlers in a room, but it sure as heck can get crowded! Actually I suppose I wasn’t very clear on that…not all of us are fiddlers, but most who come out play fiddle.
The point is to get more sounds incorporated, and uillean pipes with fiddle makes a nice mix (I think). Besides, I have a personal liking for the sound of pipes, even though I can’t play them myself.
