Yeah, that’s a great mic. Lightweight, relatively cheap, and very even response. I’m not sure how well the clamp would work on a wooden flute though.
FWIW, I use a good old Shure SM-57 and I’m very happy with it.
Used a standard dynamic mike cartridge as a head mike in my Hammy when I had it…a few wraps of teflon tape and it replaced the cork…found out later only the Hammy had a big enough bore to use it…
