Amazing Whistles For Sale

Who made 10 holes in poor Abel’s body?

Everything listed as available is available. Abell, himself, made the ten holes.
All these whistles are in perfect, like new condition unless otherwise noted. They are very special instruments and I am listing them here for retail or less (except one, which I will explain below). You pay shipping. I can accept PayPal, checks or money orders. E-mail if interested.

Michael Copeland sterling silver d whistle, made before the standardization of production. This is a spectacular, perfect whistle for someone who needs a whistle that isn’t quiet. I paid $725 for this whistle second-hand. $480

Michael Copeland nickel d, revoiced for me, very nice player. $240

Ralph Sweet new pro blackwood d with 3 keys. Cross-fingering works fine with Bb and C, so this whistle is chromatic. Very focused, not shrill, but not quiet. $400

Glenn Schultz blackwood d, really special, pure and wonderful. I have held onto this for 6 years. It’s pretty perfect, but not quiet. Smells great. Shiny. $290

Glenn Schultz flamed maple d, Doc Jones’s very favorite whistle. Plays similarly to the blackwood one, but slightly less focused and more mellow. Not as shiny. $290

Chris Abell Madagascar rosewood 10-hole d tube (no mouthpiece). $110

P.G. Bleazey Yew d whistle. Strong, pure, very nice, not quiet. $160

David Boisvert early (last year) blackwood d. Very nice. $190

Paul Busman blackwood d, beautifully re-sanded (smooth holes). There seems to be a very tiny crack in the very bottom, but I got it new that way. I filled it in with resin. The first four notes are incredibly resonant and beautiful, the whole first octave is sweet. If blown right, the whole range is nice. Nice blue fleece-like case, made by Paul’s wife, Charlene. $190

As mentioned above, e-mail if interested.
I may be interested in the P.G. Bleazy. Define not quiet please.

Thank you,

JessieD

The Bleazey is a nice, strong whistle. It has a round, full tone with good volume. Years ago I wanted whistles for all occasions, but now I have a baby and I don’t play out in public anymore, so I don’t need loud whistles. I have come to love quiet whistles (I always did, but now I do more). The Bleazey has strong volume - nowhere near as loud as a Susato, but louder than a Burke.

Thank you! I wasnt sure if it was shrill.

For your information, I had the JessieD signature LONG before you came to the forum. My maiden name began with K and I have been a part of this community for many years (since the beginning). My married last name begins with D. It has absolutely nothing to do with you.

I am more than willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, but I do find it weird that several of your early posts made fun of pictures of my daughter. I deleted the links to the pictures, by the way, when I noticed you and your odd early posts, because I have no idea who you are and I have no desire to put my daughter in danger (the picture in the avatar is so outdated that nobody would recognize her now). I also notice that your posts often follow and/or reference my posts, and I find it a bit creepy.

I apologize for the JessieK. I had no idea it was your signature. I thought you were making fun of my screen name which I have used for years in a number of forums. It certainly entertained a number of the long time posters here!

But the rest of your reply:

Lady, I dont have a clue who you are, who you child is, how often and when you post, nor do I think of you as anything other than the the blank 2 dimensional personalities that we all are on this forum.

It entertained the long-time posters because they thought you were trying to pretend to be, or make fun of, me.

Well, I am glad to hear that. It makes me feel a bit safer. But we are not all 2-dimensional to each other. MANY of us have met in person and have developed relationships that make us real to one another. You joined a month ago, so I don’t expect you to know me, or Dale, or anyone who has been a presence for a long time. But you not knowing who we are doesn’t erase history.

Lady, I never said that some of you dont know each other.
The 2 dimensional comment was in regard to you somehow interpreting my posting text in this forum as putting your daughter in danger! That certainly came out of left field.

No, it didn’t come out of left field. Your first several posts made fun of my pictures of my daughter. That’s a strange way to enter a new forum. I have received threats in the past, and since we are on an internet forum, I don’t know your intentions. You could be a decent guy, but making fun of my daughter’s pictures did not endear me to you (I’m sure you don’t care, whatever, whatever). If you contnue to refer to me as “Lady,” I will start referring to you as “Jerk.”

I had to search the posts I made to find out what you are talking about.

Are you talking about the SINGLE post I made where I replied that your child was cute?

If you somehow interpreted that as a strange way to enter a forum, endangering a child, AND now respond to my use of the term lady (which I was taught was a term of respect) as a reason to call me a jerk in the future, then so be it.

That is who you are.

   This is crazy, and I don’t mean JessieD. Your little tirades, Lady, used to be laughable . . . now they’re just downright freaky. :smiling_imp:

Dale, Rich or Alan need to do something about this.

Will O’Ban

This is no Lady, this is JessieD!</a](http://www.photoshooter.net/doc/JessieD.html">JessieD!</a)> :stuck_out_tongue:

calm down Will…this will blow over.

That JessieD link is funny!

JessieD, there were a few responses about my child that seemed a littel weird - one was the one where you said she was SOOO cute and another was in the Cutie Pie thread. I realize now, only after you told me that you didn’t realize the JessieD was my signature before you came here, that most of this was a big misunderstanding. You joined the forum and I did that post to let people (who actually referred to me as JessieD before you came along) know that you were not me, and then you became aware of me, and when you saw my signature, you thought I was trying to claim your UserID just because we are both named Jessie. So, because you thought I was trying to nudge you with my signature (which you now realize I wasn’t), you followed me around and commented on my posts (which I thought there was no reason for). It all makes sense now. Other people here can comment on what they did or didn’t see, but you would notice what you thought was a nudge against you (and I would notice what I thought was a nudge against me) more than anyone else would notice. Given the misunderstanding, I don’t think either of us did anything wrong. So, we have the same first name and last initial. We’ll live with it.

I know it will blow over . . . the problem is that it keeps blowing back!

Jessie, pictures of your daughter were on the internet like three hours after she was born, don’t be surprised now if she attracts more attention than George Bush…

And here I thought this thread was about whistles being for sale! Silly me.
