amazing concert!

Well the Boys of Lough lived up to their full potential tonight, it was a wonderful concert and Cathal actually played two whistles at once, like James Galway. Quite the talent, I think I might try it. I think he just tapes the first three holes on one and plays them as written. He was quite the crowd pleaser.

hey it is funny you said that because I HAVE tried playing two whistles (well, one of them was an angel recorder) as I only own one tinwhistle! (I am looking into finding a good custom made tinwhistle from tinwhistleland, but I forgot how to get there!) hggmmm, anyway, I tried that last night (or the night before) and the two instruments were ofcourse unique to one another in my opinion and there were melodies there but I just have to say that they are two very different instruments! However, looking into the scientific mental architecture of the two instruments being played at the same time by one person, I feel would be a great journey through “whistling eurphoria” or - well, the beauty of the tinwhistle’s sound is in the ears of the beholder - but the two played by one person … an awesome feat!

I, meaning two TINWHISTLES, (wow) I have not tried that one yet but I will soon and that is my wish!! ~Doc

And this (Los Angeles) was the first night of a 5-week tour. Cathal’s quite a nice man, and we chatted over flute players for WFO2.
