always more new cds

Just to say that there’s a few new ones nobody with an interes in Clare music really should be without. Ronan Browne and Peadar O Loughlin’s Touch me if you dare and The McCarthy’s Family album.
The latter being the family of the late Tommy McCarthy and all their spouses paying tribute to the family father; Jaqueline, Bernadette, Marion and Young Tommy Mac with Henry Benagh Tommy Keane Johnny Giles and Louise Costello plus some old tracks includiong Tommy himself. First rate.Lots of group playing, duets, solo tracks and all sorts of combinations, a whistle duet by Marion and her husband Johnny who are both lovely whistleplayers and a solo by the late Tommy on the whistle as well.

Touch me if you dare is an instant classic, Browne and O Louhglin on pipes and fiddle and both on flutes as well wit ha bit of help from Maeve Donnelly and Geraldine Cotter, who both launched albums themselves, with help from everybody else, ah well it’s a small world.

Are they available from Custy’s, Peter?

I would say so, I bought them at launches and Na PIobairi Uilleann shop during the Willie week, didn’t quite make it as far as Ennis the past ten days.

is the ronan browne cd primarily a whistle cd?..excuse my ignorance

no it isn’t at all, but it’s music as great as it gets, the tunes can be taken straight to whistle.
