The leprosy lyrics to “Yesterday” aren’t a joke.
There’s a medical professor who’s also a musician who uses songs to help her students remember the things they need to know to diagnose and treat different diseases.
For some reason, it’s much easier to remember information in the form of song lyrics than it is to remember it without the music and rhyme, so her students are able to learn a lot of dry, technical information with less effort using her song lyrics.
I heard her sing the leprosy-to-the-tune-of-“Yesterday” song on public radio.
