The both of those lads… wonderful musicians!

It would have been a great gig if it had been at a different venue. The music was great but the sound quality left alot to be desired.
The gig was in the basement bar of the hotel and it was packed ,and with the small floor area,the very low ceiling and ambient noise it was not an enjoyable gig.
But on the plus side the music was great and John O’Briens piping was excellent.
The Patrick O’Keeffe weekend in general seems like a great festival and is well worth a visit .Castleisland is only a small town but there was loads of music.

great pic Rory. I would have loved to hear them two!!! What kind of repertoire were they playing?

They played some tracks off the album and then there was some guest performers .Jackie Daly and Edel Fox played a few tunes, and Joe Burke was due to play but I had to Leave.Unfortunely there was no pipers apart from John.
The Patrick O,Keeffe festival is primarily a fiddle players festival but there seemed to be loads of accordian players about.
