Hi everyone,
I’ve been really impressed with a few of the more recent recordings of Alba Aerophonics high D whistles, and after a search turned up little forum discussion on the topic, I wondered if we could chat. Where did Stacey start, and where is she headed? What’s been people’s impressions of the q1 versus standard designs? I’m especially curious because although whistles are common across Celtic music, there seems to be a lack of representation in the Scottish realm that Alba Aerophonics is stepping up to meet. As someone with strong Scottish roots it’d be interesting to see what the homeland has done with my favorite instrument…
PS: I apologize if there’s already been a thread about this, I only had the patience to sort through the first 10 pages or so of search results.
