I saw this Sean nos video on youtube. I know nothing about Irish dancing. I in fact ,cant dance a lick of anything. But I have always wanted to be able to dance a jig.
Can anybody here do that and give me any instruction. Im sure I will look funny, a 230# 47 yrold man trying to learn it , but what the heck!
That YT clip is stolen off the DVD - Dance Sean-Nós, as the notes on it say. It’s an instructional DVD for home study. Why not get it and try it out for yourself?

Each dance starts off slowly, showing you the individual steps, then picks up speed. At the end of each segment they show you the dance full speed. I bought the DVD just before I broke my ankle. Now I can’t find the darned DVD. It’s in this mess somewhere …

DJM, sorry to hear bout your ankle. Thanks for the break down on the dvd. I was at the library last night and all they had was something on tap,duh, not that kind of tap!
