Hello - I’m newcomer and am glad to have found an active UP forum.
I’m playing a Gallagher D set which I like a lot. I also have a Bruce Childress concert full set with pop valve, stop key, antlermaximum mounts, fully keyed chanter etc. The new cost is around $6,000. It’s a nice set, a slightly smaller and sweeter sound than the Gallagher set, but I want to sell it to fund a Gallagher flat set I have just ordered.
I’m looking for some advice on where to advertise and if e-bay is a good option. Obviously if someone here is interested you can e-mail me at simonknight@comcast.net.
I’m not in a super hurry to sell them - I’d like them to have a good home.
Or just post links to the photos and sound files right here. Ebay will take a large hunk of your profits on a sale. It may take longer, but your cheapest bet is to advertise them here on C&F, on AnimaVitae.com, as well as on uilleannobsession.com.
If you are into supporting piping in your area you might offer it locally first through a local pipe club (is there one in PA?) or ITM association. The more sets in circulation in a community the stronger it will be.
