Advice on flute repairs

Hi all,

Just found this flute from an antique shop for £30 which i thought a steal although it needs some TLC. Haven’t done any repair beyond retreading my main instrument so any advice would be appreciated!

Also if anyone has an inkling of model/maker that would be good to know.. looks like rosewood and only possible indication of a maker’s mark is potential initials in chalk under the case lining? Seems like it’s probably a cheapish one as compared to my Martin Doyle flute the workmanship is poor: bore has a rough finish with cut marks from reaming, embouchure hole in brass lining is quite jagged, tone holes a little roughly finished. The tuning slide also had a large crack, hence the threading. The liner here is loose but wont’t pull out. Don’t know how I can remov it but presume it is glued with shellac so heat the insert to loosen the glue residue and pull out?

Despite the faults, it still sounds quite good so would like to get it playing as best I can.

The liners in the head joint has fully separated and the tuning slide is loose.so far then:

-Headjoint liner needs to be reglued

-Tuning slide liner needs to be removed and reglued. Maybe glue crack in wood before replacing liner?

-Embouchure hole could use a sanding to get a better, even hole??

-Joints re threaded

Thanks!!
