ACMS Session Recording

Several times I’ve mentioned the sessions we have in central Arkansas.

Thanks to Kevin Kiley, I can now let you hear what a little of one sounded like. From the 11-13-04 session at the Last Chance Cafe in Hot Springs Village, here’s “Out on the Ocean:”

I hope you enjoy this.

Just lovely James! It sounds like our session at the Kildare House here in Windsor with the chatting in the background.

Where you playing flute or whistle on the track?

Thank you for sharing it with us.

MarkB

Thank you!

I was playing flute, and started the tune.

In a tribute to our long lost Avanutria, here’s a recording from a couple years back when she came down to Salt Lake to join us for session. This was at our local coffee shop ‘Cup a Joe’ which is a pretty ‘live’ room - hence the echo in the recording. The tune is: Father O’Flynn Can’t remember who was playing what for this tune, though I think she was playing whistle, and I think I might have been playing either bodhrán or the pipes. Anyway, a great time! WE MISS YOU BETH!!!

And that’s some fine playing there James! I love that tune on the pipes. The D note is great to really let fly and sort of punctuate the tune!

Thanks–I really enjoyed that! Of course, anything Beth plays in is gonna sound great!

Thanks! We have a lot of fun playing these tunes. I hope to post some more recordings from time to time.
