Abell's G "whistle/flute"

Exciting news (for me, anyway):

Chris Abell is developing a head joint for his G Boehm system flute. Later this summer, he will also be offering flute head joints to fit onto the body of the low G whistle body which he already sells.

A person could have the G body with two heads (whistle and flute) and switch as she or he wanted. I haven’t heard a price yet (for the flute head joint; the low G whistle in African blackwood and silver is $400.00), but I’ll let you know.

Yup. I just found out that the G head joint will be close to or right at the price of the C head joint.

Maybe I’ll save up.

Uh, Tommy, Chris doesn’t have a G Boehm flute. He does, however, have an alto headjoint (just the headjoint).
