Sorry for the double post. I first posted this on the Flute forum. But with no hits. Maybe someone can help here.
I just purchased the Chris Norman CD “The Flower of Port Williams.” (Haven’t received it yet) Track eleven has the tune “Woofin’ the cat,” I have tried quite a few trad sites for this tune with no luck. The tune is Scottish traditional or so the notes state.
Can anybody point me in the right direction for this tune. Or supply the ABC for it.
I know a Scottish jig called “Wallop the Cat.” Could it be the same one? It’s a relatively simple, very repetitive, but extremely fun tune, in a minor key. I learned it from the band “Wicked Tinkers.”
If this sounds like the same one, I could probably ABC it for you.
