A whistlers diet?

I have just returned from one of my favorite resturants and we had a great meal. There is no music there but the food and service is great. I am sure we all have our own favorite food and music. But I got to thinking about when I was trying the bag pipes and some pipers talking about haggis, and we should try it if we were to play the pipes. So where is this going? When I go backpacking I load up on carbs two days before.
But, just what should a whistler eat to stay in shape for that big all night session?

As little as possible!

Protein bars.

It’s not a question of what you eat, but of what you drink . . .

Guinness, you can eat Guinness :stuck_out_tongue:

ahhh, Guinness.

What a fabulous way to carbo-load

Another vote for Guiness; definitely avoid solid foods as they tend to muck up the works…

Philo

Jameson and if you need a chaser Guiness. I would eat that.

Solids are OK, but eat an hr or more before the session. Keep a Guiness handy during…
I seem to remember reading somewhere that some of the old time whistle players used to dip the head of their whistles in Guiness once in a while to keep it playing sweetly. Worth some experimentation, I’m thinking…
Note-- do NOT do this with wooden whistles!
