You haven’t been seeing much of me on the boards, lately, and that’s likely to continue for a while, but I wanted to let our many friends know that Shannon and I (and the ferts) are fine.

Here’s a tune for you…it’s a favorite that I’ve played both in session and with bluegrass folks. There are several different settings of this reel, here are two that I often play, back to back on the Hamilton.

I don’t have anything new to report on the home front, but we are hanging in there and hoping that things may look a bit brighter soon.

Really, really nice, James! I love some of your insights into ornamentation, etc.

In our “blue/greengrass” band, we play St. Anne’s first and then go into “The Jolly Beggarman.” Makes for a nice set, esp. with mandolin, fingerpicked guitar, and banjo, which is part of our setup.
