A Sale [Rose, tenor rec*] and its REASON!

Because of some hefty (though of the odd-whistle category) investment, some of my whistles go:

  • Fred Rose in D, Afr. blackwood, gold-plated ferrules.
With original box, fleece bag, and a new additional extra hard-case/holster by F. Rose.
    $250 but I’ll pay shipping.

It IS a dream of a whistle, but for what I use soprani, I should be content with the JF-Tweaked Shaw… while waiting for a keyed D.

  • Aulos Tenor 511E
Confessing in a short-lived recorder interest.
    It’s a tenor C (=below low whistle D) with a nice double-key foot ; finish black and “ivory”.
Barely played, with orig. case, cleaning rod, grease.
    $80 shipping included.

  • GONE: Kerry Low D, new (2003) design head, good beginner’s low whistle.
    $80 shipping included.

  • GOING: Xaphoon “Classic” (the black plastic one, in C), unplayed, extra Rico reed, boxed.
What about $40 to try out this “flutophone” ? What about a swap ?

Paypal most convenient if from the US.
Please inquire or make swap offers through PM.

Bump… in time for your Christmas?

You might be interested to know why I sacrifice a great whistle (and some others, already gone).

Well… I just got it. I’m over the moon. Don’t ask me for a review yet. I’m in shock

Zub, that looks amazing. But what exactly is it?

A Radcliffe Recorder ???!!!

:puzzled:
Pixyy

Cool instrument, Zub. Anyone interested, here’s a link - http://www.strathmann-musicinstruments.de/gbindex.htm

I didn’t see any prices.
Zoob… ? also, is this instrument stocked or did you have to wait?

3,800 marks.

3800DM? Dang. You got WHoA really, really bad

Wow!!! That’s beautiful!!

Holy complicated contraption Batman! 21 keys?! Whaddya do with all those extra notes? :astonished:

Wow! Wish it wasn’t so expensive. I played sax for years so it would be a nice instrument to have since the fingerings are the same.

Ok, forgive my ignorance, and I am sure there are places online where I could find out, but could someone tell me if saxophone fingering is very different from Boehm flute fingering?

If my conversions are correct that’s over $6,800US.

Jessie, they’re close enough.

Wow, what an amazing sight. Details, details. How long is this sucker?

The web converter gave me $2500 U.S. but still hefty.

Boo, what converter did you use?

I just used the first converter that came up when I typed in “currency converter” in google. I just tried it again with this one: http://www.xe.com/ucc/

German marks, right? I’m probably doing something wrong, Tony.

Right.
$2,414.41 USD

I didn’t see German Marks on Yahoo’s converter and used a factor (obviously wrong) from another website.

At any price, it looks like a serious instrument.

Eh! The irish would laugh at that one… and they think a wooden whistle is too much already!

Use this convertor.

DM are obsolete, but the price I got was about $2200 US.

Stuart

Oh, sorry, didn’t see page 2.
