A REAL virus (no hoax)

This not a drill. Nor is it a hoax. According to the Norton website, there’s a major email virus that hit today. I’ve already had it sent to by three separate computer systems. Read about it at

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.badtrans.b@mm.html

and let’s be careful out there.

Hi, this is Brigitte here. I just wanted to remind you all about the virus Dale mentions here. It is really far spreaded also in the C&Fler-computers I presume as we are getting mails from some of you with this attachment. Since the last week about 20+ emails (the ones I opened, not the ones which got deleted before opening) came in our mail box, some have a Re: “XYZ” but some are empty in the Re:-line, these get deleted right away without opening, so if you have sent emails to us without RE: we may not have opened and read them just for safety reasons. I hope you all have updated your virus scanning programs and if not, please do so to protect your system and yourself as it is quite a pain to have a virus on the system (I remember this experience with :frowning: . Norton on the latest update level can be really helpful I find every day a couple of times. Wish you a good “virus-free” weekend Brigitte
