A pub with no name?

Come on you lot, we can’t have a nameless pub. How about a few suggestions. :pint:

The Fipple and Ferkin

The Reluctant Musician

The Queen’s Legs

Are you sure that’s a good name for something that’s never closed?

:boggle: :astonished: :boggle:

=======================

Anyway, I thought it HAD a name…“The Chiff and Fipple” is good enough for me.

Though I always wanted to start a pub, “The Pleasant Pheasant” … the logo would be a grinning game bird.

And then I’d want to start TWO sandwich shops with an Indian theme: “The New Delhi Deli” and “The New New Delhi Deli.”

Sorry…my brain’s frozen. I don’t care what the official temp is, it was -4F at my house this morning.

M

“A Horse With No Name?”

I always thought it was just The C&F Poststructural Pub anyhow…

You know someone will be suggesting "the Pheasant Plucker’ next now don’t you? With the grinning Bird and all.

Would the grinning bird be smoking?

you’ve got my vote.

Only if I’m the one doing the cooking.

And what’s the layout of the pub? Session and carousers in the bar, drinkers and conversationalists in the lounge, and grumpy old men in the snug. That sounds about right though the snug may get a little crowded from time to time.

what about whistles? are whistles allowed?

They are allowed outside in the beer garden if accompanied by a responsible adult (and we all know anyone with a whistle can’t be classed as responsible).

walden is. no, wait, he’s reasonable.

OK, own up. Who painted a dartboard on the bodhran? :smiling_imp:

At the first part of the session
I was listening to all the tunes,
there were fiddles, guitars, zooks and things,
there were bodhráns, bones and spoons.

The first thing I met was a whistle with chiff
and a banjo with no back,
the beer was hot and the chips were stale,
but I’ve never had such craic!

Oh I’ve been to a session at a pub with no name,
it felt good to be out of the rain.
At a session you can remember your tunes
'cause there ain’t no one there
who can’t play your tunes.

(La la la la la la la la…)

After two days of playing The Kesh
My eyes began to turn red
After three days of playing The Kesh
I was looking at the Bodhraner’s head
And the story it told how bad his rhythm flowed
Made me sad to think he weren’t dead

Landlord, give those two singers a drink on me.
