Hey everyone,
I hope this mp3 works if not let me know right away. So basically what i did was record a 3 and a half min sound recording of me playing a 25 dollar bamboo flute. My name is Dan Vaughn from Iowa, and I just want to get my name out there for this type of music. I have been playing for about 10-11 years now on both flute and whistle. I’ve played with bands like Flook, Gaelic Storm, Mike McGoldrick, Millish and more. So let me know what you guys think!

Well, Dan’s convinced me that I’ve got to upgrade to one of these $25 bamboo flutes. It’ll obviously greatly improve my playing!

its not a whistle, its a bamboo flute in the key of “E”. I had it made locally and this is the flute I first started playing on so its very old. The maker’s name is David Hicks but I haven’t talked with him in such a long time that I wouldn’t know if he makes them anymore.

I haven’t been playing for as long as you, but it’s nice to know there are other Irish music enthusiasts my age. I was starting to get worried when everyone else at sessions was in their 40s and 50s. You do a great job, by the way.
