Gosh, I feel better all ready. Actually, I thought it looked nicer earlier in the evening, when there was still a touch of gold in the sky, but no-one seems to have clicked it then.

That doesn’t seem right. Shortly after the taking of that picture, the moon set without eclipsing anything, and then Venus and Jupiter set.
On Dec 1 and Dec 2 the moon was higher in the sky at sunset. Did the eclipsing occur then?
It just a California thing…they like to be at the leading edge.
shoulda been close, Europe was Dec. 1, what would a been, ah what, 15-16 hours later.
That black crecent to the left is Santa Monica Bay. I live about two inches to the left of the tree at the left edge of the picture ![]()
I was going to ask you why it’s a happy sky, but then I thought to clicky the piccy. Sometimes I amaze myself at how smart I really am ![]()
Amazing that the only things visible in that night sky are the moon, Jupiter and Venus.
Drat light pollution.
I always suspected that Fel lives under a tree.
It sounds so much nicer than this rock ![]()
Look at all that light pollution. Terrible.
