I play a Shaw low D whistle which Ive enjoyed a lot but I want something else as it looks lost amongst my collection of high whistles. I will hopefully be enjoying the Heb Celt Festival here in Lewis in a couple of weeks with lots of pub session going on so give me the name of a good low whistle D and F keys.

You might try a Howard. I think that they’re really out of tune, but I can usually tell that stuff more than other people can. It’ll probably hold up in a session, which is good.
Susato makes them in keys all over the place, but as was brought up before, Susatos are whistles that you either love or hate.
