I’m excited for you Paul…but please tell me why??? Gm

Actually, this is not really a big thing. I was reading some Celtic music newsgroup a while back, and found a post asking for anyone who played Irish flute to contact the poster. I did so, and it turned out to be one of the developers of Bard’s Legacy which is an RPG slated to come out sometime soon. They wanted someone who could play some of the tunes which will be a part of the game..I told him that I would love to “try out”. The fellow sent me files of some of the tunes which I practiced ( pretty neat tunes too), recorded very primitively using Windows’ sound recorder ( On my gorgeous Schultz flute), and sent in, along with several trad tunes played on one of my own wooden whistles. Apparently this guy is a pretty good sound engineer, because they told me that the recordings I sent in would work out just fine !! So, bits and snippets of my playing will be appearing in a video game soon. Don’t know if I will ever see any payment for my “services”, but I don’t really care much-- I had a lot of fun doing it, learned some good new tunes, and have the satisfaction of being a part of the “team”

Cool! I’m a bit of an RPG computer game fan -so I’ll keep a look out for this one in the shops. I guess it’s a PC title, but maybe it’ll get onto PS2 if it’s popular enough.

You ought to get paid, even if it’s only a one off sum - maybe you will make a name for yourself providing background music for computer games!
