A gay pipers club

Would anyone be interested in getting involved in a gay pipers club ?

I,m making this inquery on behalf of a friend of a friend ,and also does anyone know of a pipemaker who make,s pink pipes

what’s your point?

read the question again ,then get to me

Surely, you must know who uses pink ivory for pipemaking. Are you being serious here, or are you having us on?

I’ve only used it once. I hope that does’nt make me gay  .. How will I tell my girlfriend… :astonished:

This may be serious, and if it is, then it is quite sad. I see no need to create any kind of discriminatory sub-group of pipers. In this case his friend seems to be seeking to create a “reverse discrimination” against those who are straight. For piping or (any other reason really) this is uncalled for.

I got into the Irtrad music scene because of the inclusiveness that I found within it. It really is a wonderful passtime with lots of great people to have fun with. It is really required to start discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation, gender, Irish born or non-Irish born, Catholic or Protestant etc..etc..etc…???

Let’s not go there shall we?!?

If it is a joke, sorry…not funny.

Start???

Perhaps I should have said “continue” instead???

A friend of mine plays fiddle in a group and the piper who plays with them is gay . I went to hear them play last week and got talking after the gig and the piper just happen to mentsion that he didn.t know of any other gay pipers (he made a joke about gay mckeown but lets not go there) and I was telling him about this forum and that it has a few thousand members, and it would be no harm to ask ! His reply was that if there was any replies he would form a club !

He plays a half set and is upgrading to a full set ,he had heard of pink ivory sets and quite fancied one

This is not a laughing matter. Many people suffer on this topic because the majority of people believe they can influence the rights of the minority.

However, in the case that it was a serious question, here is a link of interest:

You’re tilting at windmills there, Peter. Very Dutch!
A fiddler I know thinks Cherish the Ladies are sexist since they don’t allow men to join. Really. The fiddler’s a she in case you’re interested.

I would like to join a piper’s club that has good pipers who are willing to share their knowledge of piping with others.

I love this… all of it! Every shagging bit of it!

Erm, I’m with you except the part about actually joining, Royce.
You are Royce, right?

Are you Jessica the Body Ventura?

I prefer to be known as Jessica “The Soul” Ventura.

Royce? Don’t be trying to get a Royce out of me!

But I can do an impression of him.

Darn! I was planning to out ‘Jessica’! I had the ‘ah-ha!’ moment yesterday. You beat me to it!

I think you have concluded that I am “Royce” due to my somewhat vitriolic response to the Canadian fellow selling the plastic UP sets.

Hi Dude.

I seem to remember hearing about a queer piper.

It seemed like he enjoyed the ladies more than Guinness. Mighty queer piper, if you ask me… :smiling_imp:
