no, it’s actually quite cheap (compared to Luxembourg). Food, drink, accommodation, everything is cheaper than here.

Would most german speak a bit of english in Berlin?
ask Bloomfield. AFAIK it is their 1st foreign language, so most have decent skills in english.
Absolutely no problem getting by with English in Berlin (or in any German city). Everyone learns it in school and is eager to use it. It’s to the point where it’s difficult to practice your German, if you are so inclined, because everyone will respond in English when you ask “Ist dies das ricktige Weg zu den Bahnhof?”
Nice shots! I definitely would like to see that in person.
