Thanks ancientfifer. Great piping and a fine tune I’d forgotten about. Len plays the tune well making it sound both uplifting and melancholy. My daughter was in a very bad way a couple of days ago, but after a six hour operation on Monday she has pulled through and this rendition of Planxty Davis comes at the right time :thumbsup:

Thanks Rory and Lars. Yes she had a “slow” stroke, but after the op. she is stable now so far, no further strokes. Only her left arm, hand and foot has been affected. I say “only” as it could have been much worse. So the rehab possiblities look very good. A horrible call to get at 02. am on a Sunday morning. Anyway, now and then you hear a tune played on the pipes which reminds you why became involed with the pipes in the first place.
