A couple of questions - tabor pipes and Generation B flats

I have a tabor pipe/three-hole whistle in D, and I was wondering HOW THE HECK can you get more than 3 notes (D, E, F# G; and up the octave) out of them. Or is it just not possible?

Also, what is the difference in tone (or whatever) between the brass and the nickel Generations, specifically B flats, since that’s what I’ll be buying. Thanks.

The tabor pipe starts in the second octave overblow, and then goes up the scale from there by overblowing yet again. Pretty loud, and shrill.

The Gen Bb brass red top is a bit mellower than its nickel blue top brother.

Here is a fingering chart (Adobe) for Tabor Pipe. The number in the bottom tab hole is the octave/register you need to overblow the note on.

In addition, the brass one smells more…brassy. :stuck_out_tongue:
