a clip from Ellen

This clip was sent to me by a friend, and is heart-wrenching, especially near the end.

I’m not used to seeing Ellen sad.

May you rest in peace, Larry. :frowning:

That is sad. I’m glad there are people like Ellen in a position to speak out and be heard.

Me too.

Wow, I hadn’t even heard about this and I live just a few minutes away from Oxnard.

Ellen did a great job of getting to the heart of the matter.

I hadn’t heard about it either until a friend sent me the Ellen clip and then I read about the story elsewhere.

It’s so sad. He asked him to be his Valentine, and so the other kid murdered him.

I wonder what that kid (the murderer) was taught at home.

It is a very, very sad reflection of a widespread problem. Not liking what someone does is one thing, but killing them because of it is quite another. It’s ironic that it’s considered that bad to be gay, or to be asked to consider the gay person as a prospect, but that the same horror is not experienced when considering murdering someone … skewed all to hell.
