$600 flute recommendations/selling the Healy

So, I’m thinking of selling the Healy three piece (silver tenons); I bought it two years ago for $800. The lowest ring popped off, and I put it back on with a bit of thread, so that will eventually need to be glued. Can anyone recommend either a new or used flute for around $600? Or should I just continue to save and get a more expensive one? Any suggestions for makers/ideas?

$600 would be enough to get on a waiting list and you could save for the rest while you wait. You’ve already got an Olwell, that’s enough flute for most players. Are you thinking about another pitch? F, Eb or Bb?

Cheers,

600 bucks would be enough to buy a delrin Ward Eb flute, and then you’d have your Olwell, plus a nice flute to play in a different key.

I love mine, and would recommend them based on my experience with my own flute, plus I have played one that belongs to another board member.
