During my childhood, I was of the belief, “You’ve seen one rocket launch, you’ve seen them all.” When we were in school, the nuns would drag a TV into the classroom so we could watch another one. During Christmas season, the local Pittsburg children’s show, Paul Shannon’s Adventure Hour, showed a rocket go the North Pole filled with letters to Santa. Even though I never believed in Santa, that rocket launch, as fake as it was, was way more interesting.
Long before my day, of course I’ve read about it. That was like in the last century, right?
