Any body else play one of these flutes of the Aulos fife?

I’ve played them in the past and also know a few people who have them. I currently have a 1 Key Miller Browne, no difference in sound to the 5 or 6 keyed version. I assume, it’s the Bb you are talking about ?

Yes it is the Bflat. I’m onto the Miller Browne army service 6 key model now which is tuneable and I find easier to play. Or more accurate on the notes.

I was hoping to find a review in the form on Miller Browne Band flutes and came upon this thread.

I wonder if any one has had recent experiences with these band flutes.
They are the same people that make the generations whistle.

I bought one of these in Dublin in 1979.

It has been gathering dust since. I’ll be happy to sell it if a reasonable offer comes in.
